    • It’s possible for a sociopath to love someone within the sociopath’s understanding of love, yes. That understanding of love is more about possession and less about becoming connected to someone emotionally and spiritually. Love to a sociopath is surface and VERY material. They love a person the way a child loves a lollipop or a Christmas present. People and their hearts are just “things” to be manipulated and used for the sociopath’s pleasures. And if that love runs away, the sociopath may pout and cry because of the loss, but the pouting and crying doesn’t last long. It’s fleeting. As soon as another shiny, happy person walks into the sociopath’s view, the past loss is forgotten and the new person becomes the sociopath’s next “love of his life”, the next soul mate. The memories of the past “love” interest have zero heart-centered worth to a sociopath.

  2. Ahhhh lovely. He’s 6″6, straight teeth, hilarious, sends flowers, doesn’t answer his cell phone around me, sings romantic country songs to me every morning…. Oh. And he’s also got fourteen counts of domestic violence in 3 states, married twice and had a paternity suit against him 18 years ago. Huh?! Same guy?! I’m shattered but thankful my face isn’t. Thanks
