If I want to tell a commenter to “Fuck Off,” I have that right. It’s my blog. The one place I have control and am not afraid or ashamed to wield it. I write about abuse and the signs of abuse and not accepting or putting up with abuse. When someone takes the time to comment against other commenters or attack the blog itself, that’s abuse.
I’ve been blogging regularly for about a year now. Someone named Darryl decided to attack a commenter. My first troll! I made the mistake of engaging him and that just fanned his flames. He came back to spew more hate and disgust for everyone here and for me. I don’t know Darryl, and I don’t care to know Darryl. He’s a loser. Losers comment on blogs that make them angry and defensive. After reading my About page, the troll named Darryl commented with the following:
“lol your blog and your attitude are amusing! I can only ‘trophy’ your dedicated blog to me 🙂 as evidence to my positive outlook of logic, accountability and reason and it’s (my outlook) ability to coax such a tremendous response; people often react negatively when they are proven wrong or are otherwise ‘defeated’. It’s interesting how your profanely truthful response, to one my many non-abusive and insightful comments, was sprouted and then quickly “hidden” from others. “F### YOU”, as you put it, is not normal on a blog of this nature and your reaction nullifies any credibility you thought you had; this also demonstrates a clear hypocrisy to your objective. Fyi, ~please~ feel free to post all my non-biased insightful responses, “pending your moderation” of course 🙂 , I’m anxious for their depth to be realized by others. It’s nice knowing you read this :)”
“Fuck you!” is reserved for the lowest of the low. I make zero apologies to my readers for using it. Sometimes when there is nothing more to say to someone, someone who is abusive by nature, a big old-fashioned “FUCK YOU!” is in order.
So, Fuck you, Darryl! 🙂
