My one-star kicks my butt.As a person who puts herself out there, I am extremely grateful to all feedback I receive: good, bad, or indifferent. Even a 1-star rating motivates me to continue sharing. What’s worse than a 1-star rating? Probably nothing when it comes to my little story, but I still appreciate the time and effort made by the reader/reviewer.

I embrace the negative as much as the positive. Let the 1-star kick me in gear to do more and to do better (next time). Namaste!

  1. GREAT way to handle the one-star image.

  2. Yes, great attitude! But easier said than done to not feel hurt by negative comments that are not phrased constructively.

    • I thought so, too. But I’m more upset by the fact she got a refund after reading the entire story!! I have books on my Kindle I will never finish, but won’t ask for a refund. Isn’t that the risk we, as consumers, take? Hahahaha!

  4. Your attitude is exactly right. You have to embrace it all… Don’t let it discourage you!

  5. You always hear what they say, when your out in a public forum you can’t obsess over the negative, because there will inevitably be some negative comments, don’t let it overrid the good ones.

    • Thank you! I think the review speaks more of the reviewer than of my story. Maybe reading my “poorly written” book will encourage her to write hers. It’s all a circle. 🙂
