Abuse comes in many forms and affects many people in the victim’s life.  Emotional, physical, and sexual abuse are equally degrading and harmful to men and women. One is not better than the other or worse than the other. They are ALL abuse.

  1. Through much hard work, therapy and the amazing support of my family and friends, I have been able to move from victim to survivor. In doing so, my healing, strength and recovery have grown exponentially.

    Dr. Drew Pinski refers to childhood trauma as the petri dish for substance abuse as an adult. Dr. Alice Miller has written much about childhood trauma and the resulting compulsive behavior and grandiosity that spawns these traits in our adult life.
